Set up Slack Integration
Note: By default, members can create channels and multi-channel guests (https://slack.com/help/articles/202518103- Understand-guest-roles-in-Slack) can create private channels. Workspace owners can change these permissions. If you can’t create a channel, find a workspace owner and ask for help. For more information on the permissions, please visit: https://slack.com/intl/en-in/help/articles/201314026-Permissions-by-role-in-Slack.
Steps on creating a Slack Channel and Webhook URL:
Create a new Slack Channel by clicking on Add channels and then Create a new channel
Provide a Name to the Slack Channel
Navigate to Slack Apps (https://api.slack.com/apps) and create an app.
Choose Create New App
Select From scratch
Provide an App Name and choose a workspace you want notifications to be sent.
Select Incoming Webhooks under Add features and functionality, and toggle this to On
Select Add New Webhook to Workspace under Webhook URLs for Your Workspace section.
Choose the Slack channel you created and click on Allow.
The Slack Webhook URL is now created. Copy the Slack Webhook URL.
