This article explains how to create an ACE Job Rule. When an ISV opts for a Multiparty engagement in ACE, a key requirement for enabling Multiparty Sync is the creation of a specific IAM role. This role allows AWS to copy snapshots and data from one partner account to another behind the scenes, ensuring seamless synchronization and collaboration between the involved parties.

Prerequisites

  • Make sure the user should be an AWS Account Administrator with the below permissions assigned:

    • AdministratorAccess

    • AWSMarketplaceSellerFullAccess

  • The CloudFormation template link will be shared as a part of onboarding guidance.

ACE Job Rule Setup

  1. Open the Cloud Formation Quick Create URL in a browser, and login using your AWS credentials.

  2. Ensure the correct Region: N. Virginia (us-east-1) is selected.

  3. In this CFT (CloudFormation Template), the Stack Name will be automatically populated.

  4. You can leave the Permissions section empty as it is optional.

  5. Review the details updated and under Capabilities, select “I acknowledge that AWS CloudFormation might create IAM resources with custom names.“

  6. Click on Create Stack.

  7. Once the Stack creation is completed successfully, you can see the status as Create_Complete.
